a flock of crows
covering the winter sky –
I hang on to sleep

open wings
against the red dusk –
beauty mark

morning dew –
my cat’s eyes
asking to come in

news of war –
the brick houses in London
more red in the sun

cracks in my watercolours –
breaking through
a dream
